Most of the orders received for bamboo products made by the Group come from gift shops and hotels of larger towns in Tanzania, such as Dar es Salaam, Arusha and the island of Zanzibar.Some products are also shipped to Nairobi,Kenya. People in smaller towns and villages are too poor to buy these products- as they have barely enough to pay for food and shelter- although the bamboo items are inexpensive by comparative standard.
The Bamboo Products made by the Mbeya Bamboo Women are of excellent quality and are hand made in their small workshop about 5 kilometers outside MBEYA TOWN. All the raw materials used in their products come from the Southern Highland Region.The bamboo is carried by women from the bamboo forests surrounding Mbeya to the workshop of the group. Anzilan,the raw material needed for chairs, tables,baby carriers and bulletin boards comes from Kigoma in Tanzania.
	In 2005 at the Annual National Trade and Craft Fair "Sabasaba" held in Dar es Salaam ,the group was awarded 1st Place for the quality and beauty of its products.
